The Apple Diet

During your five day apple detoxing diet you are allowed to eat lean meat and low fat cheese. Remember that you need to drink at least 2L of water per day.

  • Day One: eat apples for breakfast, lunch and dinner (no more than 1.5 kg)
  • Day Two: eat 2 apples for breakfast, one apple alongside a vegetable salad and 2 small slices of low-fat cheese for lunch and other 3 apples for dinner
  • Day Three: one apple, a slice of whole-wheat bread and a slice of low-fat turkey ham for breakfast, one apple and a salad made from only half of a romaine salad, 2 carrots and half of an onion for lunch, and 3 apples for dinner
  • Day Four: for breakfast you can have one apple, a slice of low-fat chicken or turkey ham and a slice of whole-wheat bread; one apple and a steamed vegetable salad (without potatoes) with 200g of tuna for lunch and 3 apples with a bowl of low-fat milk and healthy cereals for dinner.
  • Day Five: one boiled egg, one apple and a slice of whole-wheat bread for breakfast, one apple and a vegetable salad alongside 200 g of low-fat beef for lunch and 3 apples of dinner.

The Advantages of the Five Day Apple Detoxing Diet

  • It’s not an expensive diet and the ingredients are easy to find and easy to prepare
  • The diet is easy to follow and does not require too much of your time
  • The diet encourages you to drink lots of water
  • The apple diet favorites the detoxing of your body, helps the weight loss process and prevents your digestive system for malfunctioning.

The Disadvantages

  • Being a restrictive diet that only offer your body a maximum of 1200 calories per day, you might experience some anxiety, fatigue, or headaches during your five day apple detoxing diet
  • It can, in some cases, cause gastric hyper-acidity so you should ask your pharmacist for a natural supplement that can prevent this effect
  • Once they complete the five day diet, the majority of people tend to overeat and gain back all the weight that they lost.

 

Remember that it is not recommended to follow the apple diet for more than five days. Also, once you are finished with the diet, you should keep eating 1-2 apples per day and not return to your old bad habits when it comes to eating unhealthy foods.
