We’re not saying that working out and dieting will not bring results, or that you can lay on the couch all day and still have perfect abs, but there are indeed a few tricks that will help you stay in shape even without diets and exercises. What’s the catch then?
You probably hear or read about these kinds of tips and tricks on a daily basis but how many times have they actually worked? We’ve decided to let you in on a little secret: is not that they don’t work, is that usually people don’t apply them with perseverance or don’t apply them while maintaining a healthy lifestyle. There’s no such thing as magic, but with a little bit of perseverance you can get the flat stomach you so desire even without gym or dieting. That is, of course, if you don’t also need to lose a little bit of weight. Let’s see what tricks you can try:
Improve Your Posture
You’ve probably heard this a thousand times from your parents and teachers growing up but did you know that improving your posture has excellent benefits for your stomach muscles? When standing straight you not only look better, but you are also using your stomach muscles, thus working on your abs. If this is not something that comes naturally to you, you can use a few post it notes around the office or at home to remind you to stand up straight. You will see that in just a few weeks it will come natural, and the results will enchant you.
Instead of finishing a meal in record time, try to chew each bite at least 30 times. IT sounds like quite a hassle, we know, but your digestive system will thank you for it. The more you chew, the smaller the food will be when reaching your stomach and the easier it will be to digest it. And if we’re on the topic of eating, did you know that giving up the habit to eat late meals will improve your abs in less than one month?
Drinks Lots of Fluids
When dehydrated, your body will retain water in order to survive. So if you think that you are not the type of person that needs to drink lots of water because you get bloated easily, you are making a mistake. In fact, this is one of the reasons for which you should always have a bottle of water with you. Start drinking at least 6 glasses of water each day and you will soon see chances in your face, hands and abdomen. If water is not your favorite, you can also have unsweetened tea or a cup of Teatox.
Go for Long Walks
If you are not a fan of walking, start with 30 minutes each day. Although it is a small change, you will notice the difference. Remember that the most important thing is to persevere and slowly increase your walking time. If possible, walk home from the office or when meeting a friend.
Improve Your Sleeping Pattern
There is nothing worse for your health and weight loss than to have an irregular sleeping pattern. At night, your body performs a lot of processes that are helpful not only for having a rested mind, but also for burning calories and digesting food. If you sleep at least 8 hours per night, you will notice an improvement in less than one month.
Other tips and tricks for a flat stomach: give up on chewing gum, add probiotics to your daily diet and try to be as relaxed as possible.
