Daily commutes are the struggles of modern world, we rush through traffic to go to work, pick our kids from school, or visit loved ones, and most of the time, we spend hours in our cars, waiting to get from one place to another. Add that to the wide variety of daily tasks, errands, work, spending time with family, and you will get a tired version of yourself that has little to no time for exercising. In fact, the lack of time is the number one concern when it comes to taking care of our bodies, our health, or our mind.

Since we know how hard it is to cut back our tasks and obligations, we decided to let you in on a little secret that can help you with your daily workout. Check out Teatox’s tricks for excising in your car:

Mini Workout Devices

If your daily commute means spending a lot of time in your car waiting for your children or other family members, it is a great idea to have one or two workout devices around, and use the time you have to get yourself back in shape. For example, a mini bicycle. You can use it to pedal while you wait, get some cardio work done and feel amazing.

Breathing Exercises

One of the many reasons of feeling stressed is the fact that you rarely take time to relax, and just breathe. There are a wide variety of breathing exercises that can be done while driving, so instead of letting yourself be troubled by road issues, such as nasty drivers, just breathe. Inhale-exhale exercises are known to reduce stress and clear your mind.

Do a Little Bit of Yoga

When you think of Yoga, you envision an exercising mat in bright colors, peaceful surroundings and time, lots of free time. But have you thought about doing Yoga in your car? If you find yourself stuck in traffic or waiting in a car, you can do hands and feet exercises, or even work your back and neck. Move a little, from one feet to another, or try to reach your ankles with your hands.

Change Your Driving Habits

An important part of feeling good, relaxed and getting rid of stress comes from not letting petty things such as traffic troubles get to you. Make a habit out of being more relaxed while driving, listen to your favorite music, give up those unhealthy sugar snacks that get you all fired up, and think more about your relaxation and safety than about the traffic jam.Being stuck in a tiny place for more than a few minutes can be annoying, so you need to find the right way to relax, if you want to still have a peaceful day when you get to work.

Given the fact that we are talking about simple exercises, you should not have a problem doing them while you wait in your car, or while you move slowly through the traffic line, but nonetheless, you should always have your safety and of the ones around you in mind; make use of the parking breaks, even if you are stuck in a jam, and don’t let your mind wonder too much.

Be creative, think about the things you are doing wrong, improve your posture, put on your favorite audio book, or simply take time to talk to your loved ones while driving them places, it’s not about sticking to a programmed routine, it’s about making the most of your time, and relaxing yourself.

You will see that once you will make your daily commute less stressful, your day will improve and you will be ready to face the music at any time!
